It coaches. It never writes.
Section-by-section feedback on your college application essays — on structure, specificity, voice, and whether you actually answered the prompt. You revise, it re-reads, and the loop repeats until the draft meets a defined quality bar.
Feedback you can act on, not a rewrite
Section-by-section feedback
Each section of your essay gets targeted feedback on structure, specificity, voice, and alignment with the prompt.
Repeats until it passes
The coaching loop repeats until your essay meets a defined quality bar. You revise, it re-evaluates, and you iterate.
It coaches — never writes
The essay coach will never produce a sentence a student could paste into an essay. It tells you what to improve, not what to write.
Four steps, repeated until the draft clears the bar
- Pick the prompt. Choose the college and the essay prompt you are writing against. The prompt set is the real one for that college this cycle, not a generic list.
- Paste your own draft. You write the essay. The coach reads what you wrote — it never starts a draft for you.
- Read the diagnosis. Feedback comes back section by section: what is vague, what is unsupported, where the voice slips, and where you drifted off the prompt.
- Revise and resubmit. You rewrite in your own words and send it back. The loop repeats until the draft meets the bar.
The bar is about prompt-fit, structure, evidence, and voice. It is a judgement about the writing in front of it — never a statement about your chance of being admitted anywhere. No essay, however good, changes an admission decision, and University Application Guide never claims otherwise.
Personal Insight Questions are handled separately
University of California (UC) campuses do not use the Common Application. They have their own application with four Personal Insight Questions (PIQs), which are shorter than a Common Application personal statement and judged differently. The coach branches to the correct prompt set and the correct expectations when the college you picked is a UC campus.
Built so you can show your work
An AI-use record you can show your counselor
Every coaching round is recorded — what you submitted and what feedback came back. If your school asks how artificial intelligence was used on your application, you have the answer in writing.
Your essay is never used to train a model
What you write stays yours. Essays are not used as training data, they are not sold, and they are not shared for advertising — stated in our privacy notice and contracted for with our processors.
A one-time charge, never a subscription
Essay coaching is an optional add-on to the full report. A parent or guardian is the cardholder and accepts the terms; nothing auto-renews, and purchases expire at the end of the cycle rather than recharging. Refunds are available within fourteen days — see the refund policy.
Start with the free intake
The intake and the interest profiler are free, and no payment card is needed to see your college list. Essay coaching is there when you have a draft to work on.
